Ask a new question. Hello, I've been having issues with Discord specifically on the laptop. It suddenly started to load much slower than before for example when I go from one channel to the other, posting images or videos, etc. This only happens on my laptop but it works fine on my phone. I haven't the slightest idea of what could be causing this, I've googled many articles, deleted its cache, checked my task manager, updated my drivers, reinstalled it, everything I could find on the internet.
But nothing helped I don't think I downloaded anything new when it happened so I doubt it's a virus. For further details, my laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3, Runs everything else smooth like butter.
I even opened discord web opera GX and google both were slow despite it being normal in the past. I doubt it's the internet too since everything else is running fine. Any ideas? Losing hope at this point. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. I would suggest you to try each solution below to fix the issue. Restart PC. If the issue srill continues then lets try fixing your network connection. Click on Troubleshoot. Under the "Recommended troubleshooting" section, click the Additional troubleshooters option. Under the "Get up and running" section, select the Internet Connections troubleshooter. Quick note: On Windows 10 version and earlier, the option is available within the Troubleshoot page. Click the Run the troubleshooter button.
Select the Troubleshoot my connection to the Internet option. Select the Try these repairs as an administrator option if applicable. Continue with the on-screen directions if applicable. After you complete the steps, the troubleshooter will run and fix any connectivity issues. Reset the network stack using Command Prompt by following these steps: 1. Open Start.
Search for Command Prompt, right-click the top result, and select the Run as administrator option. Type the following command to reset the component that handles network requests and press Enter: netsh winsock reset 4. Type the following command to reset the internet protocol stack and press Enter: netsh int ip reset 5.
Once you complete the steps, launch the web browser and confirm the internet is working. If the steps above still doesn't work, reset all the network adapters, use these steps: Open Settings. Click on Status. Under the "Advanced network settings" section, click the Network reset option. Click the Reset now button. Click the Yes button. After you complete the steps, the computer will restart automatically, and on reboot, you should now be able to connect to the internet.
Take note thay this will reset all the network adapters installed on your computer to their factory defaults, you'll need to re-enter your password to connect to WIFI network. You'll need to reconfigure other networking software, such as VPN clients, if applicable. Hope this helps. Sincerely, Louie. How satisfied are you with this reply?
